NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- Three people surrounded and beat up a man and woman in a suspected anti-Asian attack in Queens last week, police said.
The NYPD’s Hate Crime Task Force continued to search Monday for three suspects, who were captured on camera as they fled the attack in a white Acura SUV.
The victims—a 44-year-old woman and 24-year-old man—were walking at Junction Boulevard and Roosevelt Avenue in North Corona around 2:30 p.m. Thursday when the suspects drove up in the Acura, police said.
A woman in the SUV yelled an anti-Asian slur at the female victim and then threw water at her, according to police.
The woman and two men then exited the SUV and assaulted both victims, according to police, who said they took turns punching and kicking them in the head.

After the assault, the trio fled westbound on Roosevelt Avenue in the SUV.
The victims were transported to an area hospital, where they were treated for head injuries.
