The 28-year-old moped rider was driving on Westchester Avenue, near Hoe Avenue, in the Foxhurst section around 3:45 p.m. on May 1 when two vehicles—a black SUV and red sedan—blocked traffic in front of him.

Three people jumped out of the vehicles, with one of them brandishing a gun and forcing the man off of his moped, police said.

One of the thieves drove off on the moped, while the two others fled northbound on Westchester Avenue in the black SUV and red sedan.

The victim suffered minor injuries and did not require medical attention, police said.
