Gun-wielding man steals $2K in drugs from Manhattan pharmacy: police

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A man stole thousands of dollars’ worth of medications from an East Harlem pharmacy at gunpoint on Wednesday afternoon, police said.

The NYPD released surveillance images Thursday of a suspect, who they believe is about 25 years old.

Police said the Riverton Pharmacy, at Lexington Avenue and E. 126th Street, was robbed around 3:30 p.m.

A man entered the pharmacy and took out a gun while demanding medications, according to police.

The armed man stole multiple prescription meds before fleeing the pharmacy, police said.

The prescriptions were valued at $2,000, police and sources told the New York Post.
