NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police said they're searching for an armed suspect who’s robbed at least three businesses at gunpoint in Brooklyn in less than a week.
The NYPD released an image Thursday of the heavily disguised suspect who they’ve linked to robberies in Brownsville and Crown Heights.
The most recent robbery was at a deli on Saratoga Avenue in Brownsville on Tuesday night. Police said the suspect held a gun to a 58-year-old man working at the deli just before 10 p.m. and demanded he place cash in a bag. He ultimately fled empty-handed.
Two days before that, on Sunday night, he allegedly tried to rob a 56-year-old man working at a deli on Union Street in Crown Heights. Police said he fired one round at a glass window during the holdup, but no one was struck.
The first robbery was Saturday night at a gas station store on Tapscott Street in Brownsville, police said. The thief brandished a gun and forced a 17-year-old boy working there to hand over $1,000 in cash and a watch.
None of the victims were physically injured in the robberies, police said.
