NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Police have arrested a suspect in the brutal killing of a 91-year-old Bronx man, the NYPD announced Monday.
Luis Bonilla, 32, has been charged with murder in the beating death of Nicholas Rappa, who was found unresponsive with head injuries in the garage of his Pelham Gardens home last Tuesday.
Bonilla, of Jerome Park, is allegedly seen on security camera footage wearing a reflective construction worker outfit with a yellow hard hat as he pulled up to Rappa’s home that day in a white pick-up truck.

The footage allegedly shows Bonilla walking inside and then taking off with what appear to be several packages, which he then tosses into the back of the truck before driving away.
Rappa’s death shocked and saddened neighbors, who knew him as a friendly community fixture around his home at the corner of Wickham and Waring avenues.
Bonilla also faces charges for manslaughter, robbery and assault.
