NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A 13-year-old boy was fatally shot in Brooklyn on Thursday night—the third fatal shooting in Crown Heights this week.
The teen was shot around 10:40 p.m. at Brooklyn and St. Mark's avenues in Crown Heights, police said.
He suffered multiple gunshot wounds to his body and arm. EMS transported him to NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County, where he was pronounced dead.
He was later identified as Troy Gill, of Crown Heights.

It's not yet clear what may have motivated the shooting or if the victim was even the intended target.
No arrests had been reported as of Friday.
It's the third shooting to claim a life in the neighborhood since Monday.

On Wednesday evening, a 33-year-old man, Lamine Bah, was fatally shot in the head as he was standing outside the Ebbets Field Apartments on McKeever Place, where he lived.
And on Monday afternoon, deli worker Nazim Berry, 37, was fatally shot in the head outside the Amin Deli at 801 Franklin Ave. after refusing to give a cigar to his killer. Police released surveillance images of a suspect in that shooting.
