2 teens shot, wounded over 6-hour span in NYC

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Two teen boys were shot and wounded in New York City on Monday, police said.

The first shooting was shortly before 3 p.m. in the Wakefield section of the Bronx.


A 14-year-old boy was walking near E. 228th Street and White Plains Road when he was shot in the right ankle, police told PIX11.

The teen had left a deli and was walking back to school when he was shot, according to the New York Post.

The boy was said to be in stable condition at an area hospital.

About six hours later, a 16-year-old boy was shot in the leg in Harlem, according to police.

The victim was shot during an argument near W. 116th Street and Frederick Douglass Boulevard around 8:45 p.m., police told PIX11.

The teen suffered a gunshot wounded to his right leg and was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

No arrests have been reported in either shooting.
