NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A 15-year-old boy was slashed at a high school in the Bronx on Thursday morning—the third student stabbed at a school in New York City this week.
The victim was slashed across the face during a fight around 11 a.m. at NYC Charter High School for Architecture, Engineering & Construction Industries in the Melrose section.
He was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln in stable condition.
A second boy, also 15, was taken into custody, police said.
The slashing came a day after a 12-year-old girl was slashed at a junior high school in the Soundview section of the Bronx Wednesday. A person of interest was taken into custody.
And on Tuesday, a 15-year-old boy was stabbed at a high school in Midwood, Brooklyn. Another 15-year-old boy surrendered to face charges later that day.
