NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A man swung a scooter into the face of an on-duty MTA conductor at a Bronx subway station early Tuesday morning—then attacked a second MTA employee who tried to intervene, police said.

The MTA conductor was walking along a platform when the man swung the metal scooter at him, striking him in the face, police said.
The second on-duty worker came to the victim's aid and was struck in the hand by the scooter, according to police.
Both victims were taken to Montefiore Hospital, where they were in stable condition.
The circumstances leading up to the attack weren't immediately clear.
The suspect fled on the scooter towards Baychester Avenue, police said.
He's believed to be between 18 and 22 years old. He was wearing a gray hoodie and black sweatpants, according to the NYPD.
