NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are investigating the assault on a Bronx school crossing guard earlier this week, authorities said Friday.
At approximately 3:25 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 10, a, in the vicinity of Maran Place and White Plains Road in Pelham Parkway, the 42-year-old male crossing guard was approached by the assailant, officials said.
After a verbal dispute, the suspect punched the victim in the head multiple times causing minor injuries.
The suspect fled in a black vehicle.

The victim was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi in stable condition.
