Weeknight closures are scheduled from 11:45 p.m. to 5 a.m. until June 17, and weekend closures are scheduled from April 16 to June 6 as workers replace seven switches between 86th and 95th Streets in Bay Ridge, according to transit officials.

Shuttle buses will replace service between 59th Street and 95th Street.

For eight weekends between Friday, April 15 and Monday, June 6, train service will also be suspended in Brooklyn between 36th Street and 95th Street. Commuters are urged to take the D, N and Q trains or free shuttle buses that will run between Bay Ridge-95th Street and 36th Street.

During affected weekends, shuttle buses will run every two minutes during the day, every four minutes during early evenings and every 10 to 20 minutes during late nights, officials said.

"As riders continue to return to the subway, our crews are constantly performing work that will reduce delays and increase speeds," said New York City Transit Senior Vice President of Subways, Demetrius Crichlow. "We are pleased to be able to provide frequent shuttle service, and I want to thank our customers for their patience while we continue to modernize our system."
