22Gz, a 24-year-old rapper whose real name is Jeffrey Mark Alexander, is facing attempted murder charges from an early morning shooting on March 6 inside a Marine Park party hall. During the incident, a 31-year-old man was shot in the left foot, according to police.

The victim was taken to Brookdale University Hospital for treatment and gave a description of the suspect, sources told the New York Post.

Alexander is also facing charges of second-degree assault, second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and first-degree reckless endangerment, police said.

In 2017, Alexander was accused of killing a man during a fight over a parking spot in Miami Beach though prosecutors ultimately dropped the charges on after he he had served several months in jail, according to Local 10.

His bail was set at $500,000 in Brooklyn Supreme Court Monday night for attempted murder.
