NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police released surveillance footage on Wednesday of two suspects who are sought in connection with an armed robbery that occurred inside a Brooklyn store earlier this month.
The incident happened at approximately 7:15 p.m. on August 6, 2021, inside the Z & M Smoke Shop located at 616 Livonia Avenue in the New Lots neighborhood.
According to police, two men approached the counter when one suspect displayed a firearm and pointed it at a 27-year-old male employee.
The second suspect then went around the counter and began to remove cash.
The first suspect pistol whipped the victim in the face during the incident.
The suspects fled the store with approximately $500 cash and the employee's personal property, including his wallet and Samsung Galaxy cellphone, the NYPD said.
The victim sustained a cut to his forehead and was transported via EMS to Brookdale Hospital in stable condition.

Police describe the first suspect as a man with a dark complexion and a slim build. He was last seen wearing a black baseball hat, a blue face mask, a black t-shirt, blue jeans, gray sneakers a red fanny bag, and in possession of a black firearm.
The second suspect is described as a man with a dark complexion, and a slim build. He was last seen wearing a black baseball hat, a multi-colored face mask, a black t-shirt, gray shorts, and black sneakers.
