Bullets fly in the Bronx as victims chase after suspects in $70K robbery

Police are searching for two suspects in the robbery from May 30.

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Gun-toting thieves fired shots at two victims who chased them following a $70,000 robbery in the Bronx last weekend, police said.

The NYPD released video Thursday of the two suspects they’re after in the wild robbery in Pelham Bay early Saturday morning.


According to police, two men were walking into an apartment building at Roberts Avenue and Jarvis Avenue around 1:20 a.m. when two other men hopped out of a black sedan armed with a gun.

They demanded the victims’ cash and valuables, police said, and the victims handed over their jewelry, wallets and phones with a total value of around $71,000.

The suspects then fled in the car—but the victims chased after them. One of the suspects discharge several rounds at them but ultimately missed, police said.

No injuries were reported.
