NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD is searching for carjackers accused of pistol-whipping a man in the head and stole $2,000 from the him on Tuesday afternoon.
According to officials, at around 2:10 p.m., four suspects where in a blue minivan near Avenue A and East 91st Street in East Flatbush when two of them got out of the car and approached a 40-year-old man.
The pair then struck the victim in the left side of the head with a gun and stole his phone and $2,000, police said.
The two suspects then drove off in the man's 2005 Toyota SUV and the other two took off in the minivan, cops said.
The victim was taken to an area hospital.
There have been no arrests made and an investigation is ongoing.
