NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – The FDNY was battling a three-alarm fire at an over-century-old church that spewed smoke over a Brooklyn neighborhood on Wednesday morning.
The department received a call around 11 a.m. about the fire at the Word of Life Church at 1155 Halsey St.
The fire was reported on the first floor of the two-story church, which was built in 1910.

Citizen App video shows multiple fire ladders extended towards the church's spire as smoke billows over the area.
More than 100 fire and EMS personnel rushed to the scene.

No injuries were immediately reported.
Operations remained ongoing into the early afternoon.
