NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are searching for a trio of scooter-riding men sought in three closely-timed robberies in Brooklyn and Queens this month, the NYPD announced Monday.

The first two crimes were committed back-to-back in Greenpoint and Williamsburg on Friday, Oct. 10, police said.

A 38-year-old woman had the chain snatched off her neck when she was approached by strangers on a moped at the intersection of Huron Street and McGuinness Boulevard at about 1:45 p.m., officials said.

Fifteen minutes later, the suspects committed the same crime at Union Avenue and Meeker Avenue, grabbing the chain from the neck of a 26-year-old woman before driving off, according to police.

The next day, at about 12:20 p.m. in Sunnyside, the suspects allegedly repeated the crime again, snatching the chain off a 42-year-old woman in front of a Bank of America at Greenpoint Avenue and 46th Street.

No injuries were reported in any of these incidents.

Surveillance video obtained from the robbery in Williamsburg shows three men on two scooters wearing mostly black who are accused of the crimes.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
