NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Costco will soon be offering COVID-19 vaccines in New York City.

Stores in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, and Staten Island stores are set to receive the vaccine and will be administering the shots "as soon as they are available."

Being a Costco member, however, will not guarantee you a slot for the shot.

According to the membership-based shop, it only has a limited number of vaccines available and would follow eligibility guidelines.

"Costco is firmly committed to helping protect the health and safety of our members and employees, and to serving our communities," the company wrote.

Any customers seeking to schedule appointments should visit its website, the retailer added.

The retailer expects to offer the Moderna vaccines.

Costco will distribute the COVID-19 vaccines across five states and Puerto Rico, the company said.
