NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A man was making a food delivery in Brooklyn last month when he was assaulted and robbed by five suspects, and police released photos of the assailants on Friday to help in their search.
The 48-year-old delivery worker was dropping off food at 673 62nd St. in Sunset Park at around 5:15 p.m. on July 19 when he was surrounded by five unknown men.
The strangers punched the victim in the head and stole the food he was meant to deliver, and tried to snatch his wallet, but were unsuccessful in that effort.

Police said the 48-year-old was spared from injury because he was wearing a helmet.
The suspects fled toward the Eighth Avenue subway station at 62nd Street and Seventh Avenue, officials said.

All five suspects are described as men with slim builds, and they were all clad in dark clothing at the time of the assault.
Three suspects were last seen wearing blue surgical masks and a fourth suspect had on a black surgical mask, police said.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
