NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police on Wednesday released a photo of a detergent thief who allegedly stabbed a worker at a Bronx supermarket this month, authorities said.
At approximately 4:40 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 1, the suspect entered the Antillana Superfood Marketplace located on Jerome Avenue in Mount Eden and took detergent.
When store employees attempted to stop him, he displayed a screwdriver.
A physical altercation ensued, and a 57-year-old employee sustained a cut to his hand.
The suspect then fled the location on foot, traveling southbound on Jerome Avenue.
The employee sustained minor injuries and refused medical attention.
The suspect was last seen wearing a green jacket, light blue jeans and white sneakers.
