NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are searching for a man and woman wearing bonnets wanted for a brazen attack on an L train in Brooklyn last week.

It happened just before 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 1, when a 45-year-old woman boarded a northbound L train on Canarsie-Rockaway Parkway train station.

As the train left the station, the suspects who were already on board, engaged the victim in a verbal dispute, officials said.

During the dispute, one suspect pushed and kicked the victim, causing her to fall on the ground and drop her cell phone. While the victim was on the ground, the second suspect punched the victim multiple times in the face and took her phone.

The duo then exited the train at Sutter Avenue station and fled on foot to parts unknown.

The victim refused medical attention at the scene.

Police describe the first suspect as a man last seen wearing a black bonnet, white multicolored shirt, black pants and black shoes.

The second suspect is a woman last seen wearing a black bonnet, white T-shirt, black pants, black and white sneakers.
