VIDEO: Duo on moped who snatched woman's purse, cash at Queens intersection sought

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are searching for two men who snatched a woman's purse and cash while riding on a moped at a Queens intersection over the weekend.

The incident happened just after midnight on Saturday, February 12, in the vicinity of 63rd Avenue and Queens Boulevard in Rego Park, authorities said.


According to officials, a 31-year-old woman was walking on Queens Boulevard when she was approached from behind by the two suspects on a moped who forcefully took her pocketbook containing a Prada purse valued at $500 and $200 cash from her hand.

The suspects then fled northwest on Queens Boulevard.

There were no reported injuries, and at 1:38 a.m., the suspects were observed on surveillance cameras attempting to use the victim's credit card inside a convenience store located in the vicinity of Logan Street and Fulton Street in Brooklyn, the NYPD said.

The first suspect was last seen wearing a black jacket, black gloves, and a black balaclava.

The second suspect was last seen wearing a black jacket and a black balaclava.
