NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A man and woman violently robbed a 71-year-old subway rider in Upper Manhattan over the weekend as the victim retrieved a phone he'd forgotten on a subway seat, police said.
The NYPD released video Tuesday of the two suspects sought in Saturday night's robbery at the Inwood–207th Street station.
As the victim was getting off an A train at 11:30 p.m. he realized that his phone had fallen out on the train, so he went back to retrieve it.

He found the phone on a subway seat, police said—but it seems a man and woman had been eyeing the phone.
They told him to unlock his phone so they could gain access, but he refused and took back his phone, according to police.
The pair then pushed him to the ground and snatched the phone away from him before fleeing on a train, police said.
The victim suffered injuries to his face and was transported by EMS to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem, where he was listed in stable condition.
The robbery is among a number of frightening assaults in the subway in recent days, with subway crime up 22.6% so far this year, according to the NYPD.
