
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 30-year-old man was choked to death on a Manhattan train Monday after he threatened fellow subway riders, police said.
The man was acting erratically on a northbound F train just before 2:30 p.m. when another man intervened and put him in a headlock, according to cops.
Police said the man lost consciousness.
Medics pronounced him dead at the Broadway-Lafayette Street/Bleecker Street station, police said.
A 24-year-old man was taken into custody, police said.
It's unclear at this time if he is facing any charges.
Neither man has yet been identified.
