NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD released photos of two men wanted for allegedly posing as cops who flashed a badge and robbed a truck driver at gunpoint in Brooklyn Thursday afternoon.

It happened just before 2:30 p.m. in front of 1201 36th St. in Kensington—a 37-year-old man was sitting in his parked truck when he was approached by the two suspects.

According to police, one man displayed a badge and ordered the victim to step out of the truck. When the victim did not comply, the second suspect punched him in the face and then displayed a firearm.

The suspects stole the victim's necklace before fleeing the scene in a Mercedes-Benz, last seen traveling eastbound on 12th Avenue.

The victim sustained minor injuries but refused medical attention at the scene.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
