The streets will be bathed in gold as sunlight washes over the glass and metal of skyscrapers.

The best spots to witness the phenomenon are on 14th, 23rd, 34th, 42nd and 57th Streets in Manhattan.

The Tudor City Overpass in Manhattan and Hunter's Point South Park in Long Island City are also good spots to view the effect.

“Manhattanhenge” happens twice a year. The next opportunity to see it will be on July 12 and 13, weather permitting.

“Reverse Manhattanhenge” happens during sunrise on January 11 and 12.
