NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A 13-year-old girl was critically injured after she was struck by a box truck in Brooklyn on Thursday morning, police said.
The girl was hit by the truck at the intersection of Coney Island Avenue and Avenue J in Midwood just after 7:30 a.m.
She was taken to Maimonides Medical Center, where she was in critical condition.
A 35-year-old man driving the truck remained at the scene, police said.
No charges had been filed against him as of Thursday morning.
Police said an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
