
NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- A 16-year-old girl was fighting for her life Thursday after she was shot in the head outside a Queens school on Wednesday night.
Gunfire erupted around 8:30 p.m. following a dispute between two groups of people at a playground by P.S. 15—Jackie Robinson School on Lucas Street in St. Albans.
The girl was struck in the head by a bullet as she sat in an SUV outside the school.

It's unclear if she was the intended target or caught in the crossfire, police said.
She was rushed to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where she was listed in critical condition.
No arrests had been reported as of Thursday.
No description of a suspect has been released.
