NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A group of people surrounded and attacked a man in a knifepoint robbery at a Brooklyn subway station this week, police said Friday as they released surveillance video of the three suspects.
The NYPD said it's searching for two men and a woman in connection with the violent robbery at the Bergen Street station in Park Slope on Sunday evening.
The 29-year-old victim was on a platform at the station around 5:40 p.m. when two men and a woman surrounded him, police said.
The two men took out knives and demanded cash from the man, leading to a struggle, police said.
During the scuffle, one of the men punched the victim in the face as the woman stole $500 from him, according to police.
The trio then fled the subway station. Police said they were last seen heading down Flatbush Avenue towards the Atlantic Terminal Mall.
The victim suffered pain and bruising to his face and later reported the robbery to police.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
