NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- Police are searching for five people after a man was beaten in broad daylight on a Queens street in a suspected anti-LGBTQ hate crime.
The NYPD released surveillance footage of the suspects Friday in connection with last Sunday's vicious assault in Jackson Heights.
The 31-year-old victim was approached by his attackers at 79th Street and Roosevelt Avenue just before noon, according to police.

The group allegedly made anti-LGBTQ remarks to the victim before punching him repeatedly about the body.
The suspects fled before EMS arrived and transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst in stable condition.
The NYPD's Hate Crime Task Force is investigating.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
