Gunman steals more than $1,200 from Little Caesars pizzeria in the Bronx: NYPD

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A gunman stole more than $1,200 in cash from the register at a Little Caesars pizzeria in the Bronx after jumping over the counter, the NYPD said Thursday.

The man went into the eatery at the intersection of Southern Boulevard and Westchester Avenue in Foxhurst around 8 p.m. on Monday, pulled out a silver revolver and demanded cash, police said.

The man then jumped over the counter and stole around $1,283 in cash from the register before fleeing the pizzeria, the NYPD said.

No one was injured during the robbery, police said.
