NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police released a surveillance image on Wednesday of one of two suspects sought in connection with a late-night shooting that left a man wounded in the buttocks last week in Queens.
It occurred around 10 p.m. on Tuesday, July 14, near the corner of Sutphin Boulevard and 95th Avenue in the Jamaica neighborhood. According to officials, a 29-year-old man was standing on the street when he was approached by two suspects.
During the confrontation, one of the suspects pulled a firearm out of the second suspect's backpack and opened fire, shooting the victim in the lower back and buttocks.
Both suspects fled on foot heading eastbound on 95th Avenue.
EMS transported the victim to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition.
The NYPD released a photo of one of the suspects who was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, dark gray pants, and carrying a backpack.
