NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Scarlett Johansson shared updates on Tuesday about the Staten Island Ferry boat her husband, Colin Jost, and his former Saturday Night Live co-star Pete Davidson purchased two years ago for $280,000.
Appearing on "Live with Kelly and Mark," Johansson referred to the decommissioned ferry as part of Staten Island native Jost's "naughty side."
"He bought the Staten Island Ferry—a decommissioned Staten Island Ferry. And it is, yep, still decommissioned," Johansson said with a laugh, adding that the boat has yet to pay its own way. "I was like, okay, what's happening with this boat? You've got to start paying for its own docking fees at least, right?"

The ferry, which Jost purchased in 2022 with comedian Davidson, hosted the Tommy Hilfiger fashion show in September. Johansson initially thought this might signal progress for the vessel. "I read that and was like, oh good, they're finally going to do something with that boat," she said. However, her optimism was short-lived after learning that the ferry's bathrooms remain untouched.
"I was like, surely you renovated the bathrooms, right? And he was like, no, I don't actually know," Johansson said. "When you ride the Staten Island Ferry, you can basically see everybody from here to there in the toilet. It's like being in elementary school!"
Johansson joked about the ferry's future as a unique event space. "If anybody has a Bar Mitzvah," she quipped, offering a fake website to rent the ferry. "It would really make our family happy," she said, laughing.
