NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A hiker discovered human remains inside a park on Staten Island on Sunday, according to a report.
The hiker found a human skull and "other bones" while walking near a fence on the Richmond Terrace side of Mariners Marsh Park Sunday morning, the New York Post reported, citing information from police sources.
Police officers who searched the scene after the hiker called 911 also found "a wallet with a 2005 calendar card, a rolled-up carpet, a glove and empty bottles of alcohol," the outlet reported.
The remains appeared to belong to a male "in his late teens or early 20s," according to the outlet. An investigation is ongoing.
