NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A 42-year-old man living at an Upper West Side homeless shelter was beaten by another resident outside a nearby restaurant on Sunday night, police said.

The attack occurred in front of Sarabeth’s restaurant on Amsterdam Avenue near 80th Street at about 6:20 p.m., police said.

Both men know each other and reside at the Lucerne Hotel shelter located on West 79th Street and Amsterdam Avenue, the New York Post reports.

The victim suffered swelling and cuts to his left eye.

No arrests were made as of early Monday, according to police.

Nearly 300 homeless men living at the Lucerne were set to be relocated by the city to the Radisson Hotel in the Financial District’splans but the move was temporarily halted by an appeals court ruling earlier this month.
