NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – The race is on to get New Yorkers vaccinated before the COVID variants cause a new spike. Getting an appointment was difficult before, but now that all adults are eligible, there's even more competition to get the shot.
On this episode of In-Depth we'll share some information that may increase your odds of making an appointment. 1010 WINS reporter Al Jones is joined by three guests to discuss the next steps for people looking to get a vaccination.
Our first guest this week is New York City's Health Commissioner, Dr. Dave Chokshi. He'll help us understand the different sites and how they can help you get vaccinated.
We'll also speak with Dr. Ee Tay, a Pediatric ER Physician at NYU's Bellevue Hospital who decided to take what she learned about finding appointments to help others.
And finally, we'll check in with Dan Benamy, who helped develop the website NYCvaccinelist.com. He'll share a tip that might help you find a vaccination site close to where you live.
