Knife-wielding man chases, stabs victim inside SI convenience store

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police on Wednesday released a photo of a suspect wanted for chasing and stabbing a man inside of a Staten Island convenience store last week.

At approximately 12:40 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 29, a 34-year-old man was inside 460 Nome Ave. in Heartland Village when he was approached by the suspect, officials said.


After a verbal dispute that led to a physical altercation, the suspect pulled out a knife and began to chase the victim.

The suspect then stabbed the victim in the left abdomen before fleeing on foot to parts unknown.

EMS transported the victim to Staten Island University Hospital-North Campus in stable condition.

The suspect was last seen wearing a black jacket with a blue hooded sweatshirt, gray sweatpants, and black sneakers.
