VIDEO: Knife-wielding trio wanted in violent string of Bronx robberies

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD is asking looking to identify three knife-wielding suspects wanted in connection to a string of robberies that occurred in the Bronx.

According to police, at approximately 7:45 a.m. on September 5, a 60-year-old man parked his scooter in front of 1854 Westchester Avenue in the Soundview neighborhood.


When he returned to the area, he saw two suspects leave the spot with the scooter.

The victim followed them to a parking lot, where he was punched and kicked in the face by the three suspects, authorities said.

The suspects then fled northbound on Westchester Avenue, and the victim refused medical attention at the scene, officials said.

Then on the morning of September 7, one suspect approached a 62-year-old man in front of 1221 Rosedale Avenue in Soundview, and brandished a knife, the NYPD said.

The victim then wrestled the knife from the suspect and all three men began to punch and kick the victim in the face and body before taking his wallet containing $60 and a credit card, police said.

The suspects fled northbound on Rosedale Avenue, according to police.

The victim was taken to Jacobi Hospital for a minor laceration to his head.

The third incident occurred just before 9 a.m. on September 18, inside 1781 Bruckner Boulevard in Soundview when one suspect approached a 54-year-old man in an elevator, displayed a knife, and forcibly removed $80 from his pants pocket before fleeing down the stairwell, according to officials.

Then at approximately 8:45 p.m. on September 20, three suspects approached a 42-year-old man in the vicinity of Westchester Avenue and Thieriot Avenue in Soundview and snatched his phone.

The suspects punched the victim in the face before fleeing northbound on Westchester Avenue, the NYPD said.

The victim refused medical attention at the scene.

At approximately 3 a.m. on September 27, two of the suspects approached a 64-year-old man standing in front of 1711 Watson Avenue in Soundview.

Officials said one of the suspects brandished a firearm while the other forcibly removed $150 from the victim's pants pocket.

The men then fled westbound on Watson Avenue.

The sixth incident occurred at approximately 1 a.m. on September 3, in the vicinity of Leland Avenue and Watson Avenue in Soundview where the three suspects approached a 19-year-old woman and demanded her property.

They began to punch and kick her in the face and forcibly removing her bookbag containing a pair of Jordan sneakers, black Croc shoes, and a t-shirt, according to authorities.

The victim was transported to Jacobi Hospital with a broken jaw.

The suspects fled in an unknown direction.

The last two incidents occurred on October 3 in the Soundview neighborhood, the NYPD said.

At approximately 2 a.m. in front of 1780 Westchester Avenue, the three suspects approached a 31-year-old man and demanded his property.

One suspect brandished a knife and attempted to remove the victim's property. The victim fled the location while the other individuals went southbound on Commonwealth Avenue.

Just hours later, at 8 a.m., the three suspects approached a 35-year-old man in front of 1944 Watson Avenue.

One suspect grabbed the victim from behind, punched him in the chest, and displayed a firearm while the other two suspects forcibly removed two Samsung phones and $20, officials said.

The suspects fled northbound on Watson Avenue and, the victim refused medical attention at the scene.
