
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are searching for two suspects after a shooting on the Lower East Side on Tuesday left two people wounded.
At around 2:30 p.m., officers responded to a 911 call reporting multiple people had been shot on East Broadway and Clinton Street.
Upon arrival, police found a 21-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his right leg and a 63-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to her right foot.
Officials believe the woman was an innocent bystander caught in the crossfire, while the 21-year-old man was the intended target of the attack.
Two male suspects reportedly fled the scene on an e-bike.
Both victims were transported to NYC Health + Hospitals / Bellevue with non-life-threatening injuries and are expected to recover.
No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
