NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A Long Island woman who allegedly drove a car into two police officers during a protest in Brooklyn last October has been arrested, the NYPD said Thursday.

Samantha Botte, 26, of Centereach, was arrested and charged with assault, attempted assault, reckless endangerment, obstructing governmental administration, attempted unlawful fleeing from a police officer in a motor vehicle and reckless driving on Thursday, police said.

The two NYPD officers were monitoring a protest near Atlantic Avenue and Smith Street in Brooklyn around 9:50 p.m. on Oct. 27 when Botte allegedly drove a Mercury Grand Marquis sedan up to them, the department said.

When the officers asked Botte to stop the car, she refused, hitting the two officers as she drove off, the NYPD said.

One officer was left with pain and swelling to their left side, while the other suffered a cut to the wrist, police said.

The Daily News previously reported that approximately 200 demonstrators were gathered at the scene protesting the killing of Walter Wallace Jr., a Black man who was fatally shot by police officers in Philadelphia on Oct. 26.

Botte's attorney information wasn't immediately available Thursday.
