NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- A 19-year-old man died at a hospital after he was shot on a Queens street Thursday night, according to the NYPD.
At approximately 10:28 p.m., police responded to a 911 call of a male shot at NYC Health + Hospitals/Queens located at 82-68 164th St. in Jamaica.
Upon arrival, police were met by hospital staff stating that a 19-year-old male was transported to the hospital by private means with a gunshot wound to the chest.
Upon further investigation, it was determined that the victim was shot at 178-16 Leslie Rd. The victim was subsequently pronounced dead.
There have been no arrests made and an investigation remains ongoing.
The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending proper family notification.
