NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are investigating after a man was stabbed and killed in Queens on Thursday.
At approximately 6:15 p.m., police responded to a 911 call for an assault outside of 35-21 93 St. in Jackson Heights.
Upon arrival, officers observed 19-year-old Jayson Fernandez with a stab wound to the abdomen. EMS transported Fernandez to NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst in critical condition and was later pronounced dead.
There have been no arrests at this time and the investigation remains ongoing.
