NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A 24-year-old man shot to death as he drove on the Bruckner Expressway in the Bronx on Tuesday night, police said.
The victim, identified as Nelson Caban, was found in the driver's seat of a Honda Accord, between Exit 7B and Exit 8, around 10:25 p.m.
Officers responding to a 911 call discovered Caban unresponsive in the car with gunshot wounds to his face and chest, police said.
Caban was rushed to Jacobi Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Citizen App video shows police and EMS at the scene of the shooting. Southbound lanes of the expressway were closed for more than eight hours as police investigated.

Police said a preliminary investigation found that Caban was traveling southbound on the expressway when someone in a blue sedan pulled along the passenger side of his vehicle and opened fire.
The driver of the blue sedan then fled southbound on the Bruckner Expressway, police said.
No arrests have been reported. Police said an investigation is ongoing.
The shooting came about two weeks after a man and woman were injured in a road-rage shootout between people in two vehicles on the Major Deegan Expressway in the Bronx.
