NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — The NYPD is investigating after a 27-year-old man was fatally shot in the chest in Brooklyn on Monday evening.
At approximately 7:41 p.m., police responded to a 911 call of a man shot in the vicinity of 306 Franklin Avenue in Clinton Hill.
Upon arrival, officers observed the victim with a gunshot wound to the chest.
EMS transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County where he was pronounced dead.
There have been no arrests made at this time and the investigation remains ongoing.
The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending proper family notification.
