NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 41-year-old man died after he was shot aboard an MTA bus in the Bronx on Monday afternoon, according to the NYPD.
It happened just after 2:30 p.m. near the intersection of East Tremont Avenue and White Plains Road in Parkchester. A dispute erupted among passengers on a Bx36 bus, which then escalated, authorities said.
The victim was shot in the abdomen. He was rushed to a local hospital, where he later died, cops said.
The suspected gunman fled the scene on foot. Police have made no arrests at this time, and the investigation remains ongoing.
