Man, 44, killed in apparent hit-run on the Upper East Side

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 44-year-old man was killed on the Upper East Side early Friday morning in what appears to be a hit-and-run, according to police.

The man was struck at Lexington Avenue and E. 61st Street just before 4:55 a.m., officials said.

The victim suffered trauma to the body and was rushed to NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in critical condition, where he died of his injuries.

Police said that the southbound vehicle fled the scene.

There have been no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
