NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A 65-year-old man was hospitalized after he was attacked by another rider on a subway train in Manhattan on Thursday evening, police said Friday.
The victim was on a northbound R train at the 23rd Street station in the Flatiron District around 6:30 p.m. when another man got into an argument with him, according to police.
The stranger smacked the victim, causing him to lose his balance and hit his head on a train door, police said.
The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where he was conscious and alert, according to police.
The NYPD described the suspect as a man in his 20s wearing a green "tropical" shirt and blue Jordan shoes.
