NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A 70-year-old man was sucker-punched in the face in a random attack on a Bronx subway train this month, police said Friday.

The NYPD released an image of a suspect they're searching for in the unprovoked attack on June 11.

The victim was riding a northbound 4 train around 11:30 a.m. when a man came up and slugged him, police said.

The assailant then flashed a knife at the victim before getting off the train at the 183rd Street station in Fordham Heights, according to police.

The victim suffered pain and swelling to his face and eventually sought medical treatment.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
