NYPD officers found the badly injured victim as they responded to a 911 call around 1:20 p.m. from a home near 108th Street and 43rd Avenue in Corona.

According to police, a 47-year-old man struck him multiple times as they were arguing, it's unclear about what.

EMS transported him to NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst, where he was pronounced dead.

The younger man was taken into custody as a person of interest.

He is the son of the victim, sources told the Daily News.

A friend of the victim told the outlet that the victim had lived in the home for more than 30 years with his wife. The couple was retired and lived with the son who's now in custody, the friend said.
