NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A thief robbed an 89-year-old man of $50,000 in a home invasion in Queens this week, police said.
The victim was robbed inside a residential building near Jamaica Avenue and 90th Street in Woodhaven around 11:30 a.m. Thursday, police said.
The robber threatened the victim with his own cane and forced him to hand over multiple envelopes containing the $50,000, according to police.
No injuries were reported.
The NYPD released surveillance images of the suspect on Saturday.
